The New Mexico State University Library limits the gathering and retention of information to protect the privacy and confidentiality of its library users.  The library only retains patron information that is essential for the management of library operations.

All information contained in New Mexico State University Library user records are considered confidential and are protected in compliance with applicable New Mexico state laws and federal laws, New Mexico State University policies, and professional standards on confidentiality of library records as contained in the documents listed below:
